A wave of news from Microsoft for its Xbox Game Pass, especially on the streaming side, in view of the conference on Sunday evening.

Microsoft has unveiled some upcoming news for subscribers to Xbox Game Pass, when there are only a few days left for the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase on Sunday. The news mainly concern players interested in streaming via Xbox Cloud Gaming, but not only. Among these, the possibility for owners of Samsung smart TVs to play in streaming as early as this month and a program to bring demos to the subscription.

Streaming purchased games and demos –

The first step unveiled by Microsoft is, “later this year”, “our intent to bring the ability for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to play select titles from the cloud that they already own or have purchased off the Xbox Game library. Pass, ”as explained on Xbox Wire. The second step is Project Moorcroft, “A program that brings the fun and discovery of playing new curated game demos coming out to our Xbox Game Pass subscribers.” This program is coming “within the next year” and will start “with a focus on providing independent developers from around the world with more opportunities to develop enthusiasm around their games.” Developers will also have tools to see their demo performance and compensations.

Samsung Smart TV from 30 June –

Furthermore, it has been announced that Samsung Smart TVs will be able to access the Xbox app from June 30th to be able to play streaming “Hundreds of cloud-enabled games without a console”. The only requirement will be a Bluetooth controller to connect to the TV. The novelty, which precedes the launch of a Fire Stick or Chromecast-style device from Xbox, which was made official in the past few hours but at the same time postponed in search of a more convincing form factor for the Redmond house, is quite important if you consider streaming extra-Game Pass and free-to-play titles like Fortnite soon.
