Giannis Antetokounmpo: The 3-point shooting contest? Never say never….

Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo recently spoke to Boardroom of his possible participation in the 3-point shooting competition.

“Never say never,” jokes The Greek Freak. “Because I really believe in my hard work. And I know I work harder than everyone, so you never know…”.

This season Antetokounmpo is shooting just 1.8 times per game from long range, the fourth lowest figure in his eleven years in the NBA. Down sharply from 4.7 attempts in 2019-20 and 3.6 attempts the following two seasons.

“Maybe when I get older and can’t move like I used to, and I can’t outrun my opponents and get into the paint like I do now, then I’ll start shooting threes more. “I’ll start trying more threes and my percentage will go up. Now it’s difficult to exaggerate with outside shooting, when you know you can enter the area and shoot 75%. It’s really the mind that doesn’t allow you to do it. But maybe in the future I will, when I’m 36, 37 or 38.”
