GARLASCO

The Giro della Lomellina, an eight-stage challenge organized by the Elia Pavia Team and the Acsi Committee, records the participation of over three hundred cyclists from all over Italy at its first stage in Garlasco.

The best from Pavia go to the podium among the supergentlemen: in the A-band the sprinter Ettore Manenti wins (already first Saturday in Scaldasole), according to the surprising Paolo Bianchi of Gc Varzi; in the same sprint, sixth Emanuele Moschetti (Cycling Team Garlasco). In band-B, second in category Pietro Villa del Brocchetta Pavia with Antonio Marconi of Croce Verde Pavese fifth in category. Good performances also among the veterans-1 with Nicola Mancusi (Green Cross) third; fourth and fifth the lomellini Cristiano Parrinello (Drali) and Giuseppe Scuderi (Quinto al Mare).

Restricted sprint in the most crowded race, the one reserved for the 19 to 39 year old group: clear victory for the Milanese Antonio Mostaccioli (Pancalieri) with Daniele Passi (Cycling Ssd) in the place of honor. In the same race, sixth place (first of Pavia at the finish) for Eros Martellosio, senior-2 of Sant’Angelo. Next Saturday in Gambolò the seven-stage Giro della Provincia di Pavia kicks off, a challenge dedicated to the memory of the late race judge Tiziana Sanzanni. –
