The Cup starts on 5 September, the championship starts from 19
Nineteen teams. The most complicated number to manage for the National Amateur League, even if in the end the placement in the geography of the next championship depends on an overall reasoning at a national, not a territorial, level.
Certainly the trivenete who are entitled to take part in the next series D are in that position halfway between the group at 18 and the group at 20, thus leaving room for any possible solution.
HERE IT IS
In D 2021-2022, we remind you, Dolomiti Bellunesi (province of Belluno), Campodarsego, Este, Luparense (Padua), Adriese, Delta Porto Tolle (Rovigo), Montebelluna (Treviso), Clodiense Chioggia, Mestre, Spinea (Venice) will play , Ambrosiana, Caldiero Terme, San Martino Speme, Sona (Verona), Arzignano, Cartigliano (Vicenza), Levico Terme (Trento), Cjarlins Muzane and Manzanese (Udine).
They are the same as last season, with the exception of the three newly promoted by the Excellence, namely the Venetian San Martino Speme and Spinea and the Trentino Levico Terme. There is also Sona, the only Triveneta participating in group B in the recently concluded tournament. Instead they left Trento, climbed to C, and the relegated Chions and Virtus Bolzano. Among them, the only one that could apply for repechage is Virtus Bolzano, but it seems to be a remote hypothesis at the moment.
SOLUTIONS
So what could the prospects be? To have a group of twenty teams it would be necessary to insert a Lombard or an Emilian, choosing from the closest to the regional borders. Even if there are very few cases in which similar choices have occurred in the past.
On the other hand, the hijacking of a team in Lombardy appears much more probable. Last year it was the turn of the Sona, which was separated from the other Veronese a little by surprise. The same fate could happen again, or the other suspect is Levico Terme. The thirty in rotation go to Lombardy to play and this time there being only one they would soon be reckoned.
It certainly seems difficult for Group C to be made up of twenty teams for the third consecutive time, resulting in four additional games and the undoubted increase in costs. Among other things, the season will start on September 19 and will go towards yet another tour de force, hoping, however, that there will no longer be as many recoveries as in the past year.
The season will start on Sunday 5th September with the inaugural round of the Italian Cup. Based on the rules of the event, we will know in the coming weeks if that will be the date of the historic debut of the Dolomites in an official match.
