Handball, another defeat for Andimoda Ragusa

Not a good time for Andimoda Ragusa. The seven, coached by Salvatore Russo, showed up in training largely reworked because of seasonal ailments and various injuries and, despite holding up well in the first half (the Ragusans actually went ahead by one point at the break, 18-19), they were forced to give in in the second half with the final result of 39-28 which does not allow replies. All this despite Giummarra’s 17 goals and the over the top commitment of everyone present.

Without a long bench, however, it was difficult to catch a breath and complete the match properly. “A match – say Andimoda Ragusa – unfortunately affected by the number of absences. We could have done better, sure, but the various vicissitudes related to the workforce have significantly affected our performance. This is not meant to be an excuse compared to what happened, but it is clear that not having even the possibility, during training, of being able to prepare properly, all this turns negatively into what happens during the official races. Really a shame and Let’s hope we can now recover the best condition because we must at all costs try to get back on top during a season which, however, is characterized by the growth of some young people”.

On Sunday at 6.30pm Andimoda Ragusa returns to play within friendly walls. He will receive a visit from Alcamo. The match will be valid as the third day of the return round.
