The finish line of the first stage will be in via Duca degli Abruzzi
SASSARI. Scala di Giocca to be tackled first downhill, in an intermediate passage, and then uphill a few kilometers from the finish, located in via Duca degli Abruzzi at Molino a Vento. It is just one of the “gems” of the route of the “Italian Cycling Week – On the roads of Sardinia”, which in some part follows that of the historic Tour of Sardinia. It starts tomorrow from Alghero (signing operations and transfer start at 11.30 from the Customs dock, start from Strada dei Due Mari), then passes to Porto Torres in viale delle Vigne (about 12.30), Platamona, Sassari (flying finish line in via Duca degli Abruzzi shortly after 13), Ossi (Gpm at 13.20), Tissi, Ittiri, Thiesi, Bessude, Siligo, Banari, Carghe, Muros, and finally Sassari again, with the finish line in front of the police station Fire and arrival expected between 15:27 and 15:51.
On Thursday the departure from Sassari, with the base camp for the signature sheet mounted in Piazza d’Italia. (a.si.)
