After the winning debut coach Gudalupi loads his: we are ready
SASSARI. It’s time to get back on track for Hermaea Olbia in women’s A2 volleyball. After the winning debut at home at the tie-break against Aragon and the rest session, Dino Guadalupi’s team returns to the field tonight, at the Golfo Aranci sports hall, to face the Green Warrior Sassuolo, on the third day of the tournament.
The week without official commitments benefited the Gallura team, determined to repeat the victorious debut. «The team has prepared very well – says the coach – the intensity of the sessions increases, and the fact of not playing allowed us to recover a few injuries. Progress is constant and the team will be able to show it today ». The team hopes to also have free Caforio, absent with Aragon due to an injury. «He is training separately – explains Guadalupi – he is not at 100%, but in the training parts dedicated to technique he is aggregated to the rest of the group. We will evaluate his conditions until the match ».
To get the better of Sassuolo and collect the second victory of the season, a better start will be needed than two weeks ago. «I have not seen a lack of aggression – says Guadalupi – but the usual unknowns from before the championship. But we broke the ice and the signs during the week make me optimistic ».
Defeated in the first two rounds by Marsala (3-0) and Macerata (3-2), Sassuolo arrives in Sardinia eager for redemption: “We are facing a team made up of a mix of youth and experience – he underlines – at this juncture they still don’t have continuity in the role of the opposite. On the last day they were the protagonists of a real battle against a level team like Macerata, so it will not be an easy match. To win it will be necessary to be constant and have good quality in serving ».
