Hyundai will stream the Hydrogen Wave conference on 7 September, an opportunity to showcase hydrogen and fuel cell applications under development.
The energy transition of the automotive industry is closely linked to the research and development of efficient and viable mobility solutions. The electric motor and the increasingly effective battery designs seem to be the path chosen by most of the manufacturers; in parallel, other innovations continue to be tested and evaluated. Hyundai, despite having a booming range of electric and electrified cars, firmly believes in the hydrogen and fuel cell future. So much so that the Hydrogen Wave Global Forum event is scheduled for 7 September: a conference during which the next applications of hydrogen technology will be presented.
The economy of hydrogen

The occasion will be used to present the Htwo brand: a specific division dedicated to hydrogen applications in the broadest sense. Hyundai remains, in fact, an industrial conglomerate, whose automotive sector occupies part of its business. The Htwo department will be responsible for creating hydrogen technical solutions applicable not only to the delivery of the car, but also to that of road transport, in the naval sector and in next-generation urban mobility. In this way, the Korean brand will take care of developing significantly wider and more sophisticated mobility solutions.

As for cars, Hyundai seems to want to make hydrogen a suitable proposal for any need. In a short teaser published, images of a hydrogen-fueled coupe car engaged in a circuit follow one another; also creating a spectacular oversteer. Hyundai thus anticipates its vast project, trying to demonstrate how hydrogen can represent a versatile and reliable solution, even for making high-performance cars. In this sense, it is very likely that the N division will be engaged in the medium-long term in the development of electric and, at this point, hydrogen cars with sporty dynamic qualities.
