Excellent results of the Pasquino sisters, Francesca 19 and Valentina 17, both from Chiaverano, at the absolute national swimming and sea rescue championships (lifesaving), held in Riccione from Saturday 28 May to Tuesday 1 June. But the two sisters are already planning the next races. Francesca Pasquino will take part in the World Games scheduled from Wednesday 6 to Tuesday 12 July in Birmingham, Alabama with the Italian national team, while Valentina Pasquino will participate in the Italian category lifesaving championships (Cadets) in Riccione in July.
Taking a step back, Francesca Pasquino at the absolute Italians of Riccione got the first place in the 4×50 meters relay with obstacles together with Lucrezia Fabretti, Sara Ongaro and Anna Pirovano with the Rane Rosse Milano, also obtaining the Italian record in 1’50 ” 81. She also first place in the mixed 4×50 meters relay with Giulia Piovani, as well as Lucrezia Fabretti and Anna Pirovano. She is also on the podium in races in the sea, with the second place in the race of Franente and Ocean. Among the other competitions, Francesca obtained a fourth place in the 200 meters hurdles, two sixth places in the mixed course (50 meters in style, divided into 17 meters of diving and 33 meters of dummy) and in the 200 meters Super Life, a seventh in the 50 meters torpedo dummy.
Valentina Pasquino, standard bearer of Nuotatori Canavesani, on the other hand, finished second overall in the 50 meters mannequin test and third overall in the 50 meters mannequin fins. First place, both at an absolute level, and in the Youth classification in the specialty flags, while as regards the challenges in the sea, she had to settle for a second place in the Franente test and third, at team level together with Sofia Franchetto, Vittoria Borgnino and Estel Mucci in the Ocean. –
