The victory of last Sunday, April 11, against Real Meda 2-1 after a good seventy days of fasting, gave Independiente Ivrea a smile and more confidence in group A of women’s Serie C. Now the distance from the relegation zone, thanks also to the women’s defeats in Alessandria and Spezia, is seven points, with the Ivrea team of president Roberto Tridello that has also overtaken Caprera in the standings, reaching ninth position.
The next two matches will be fundamental in the next matches Independiente Ivrea will face two matches against female Spezia and Caprera, which will be fundamental for salvation, as explained by the goalkeeper Giorgia Mognol, 27 years old from Aosta, support teacher: “We wanted everyone on Sunday the costs bring home the entire stake – says Mognol – and after immediately going under, we never disunited and in the second half we overturned the score with merit. Once we have reached the mathematical certainty of our stay in Serie C – comments Mognol – the goal will be to be able to reach the top six of the standings, a position currently occupied by Real Meda, which has ten points more than us. However, we must now think about winning the next two games, without making too many calculations, trying to repeat the performance of the second half against Real Meda where, in addition to the competitive fury, we also showed concreteness forward, thanks also to the insertions in the race of Di Bitonto and Sterrantino, players who have allowed the team to be even more dangerous. Beyond these changes, however, the whole team has changed pace, demonstrating what we can do against any opponent ». –
