The R Line team

The Belluno people of the R Line (a branch of the Limana Ski club) were the protagonists. Third place for Burlon, Cerri, Carminati and D’Incà

The final second place in the ranking by society, five individual victories. The Italian Cup of Inline Alpine slalom ends with great satisfaction for Linea R.

The reality led by Riccardo Giacomel, a reality that works in close synergy with the Limana ski club, confirms itself at the national top of an emerging discipline that has considerable margins for growth and which, both locally and at the Italian level, is consolidating. Roller skis can be an excellent sporting tool in themselves but, being related to skis, they give alpine ski practitioners the opportunity to train competition during the summer.

“The number of practitioners is growing and also in Belluno we are increasing the numbers”, underlines Giacomel. «Skiers who practice this discipline are also growing. As for the Italian Cup, we confirm ourselves at the top (last year Linea R closed, unexpectedly, in first place, ed) and this gives us great morale for the future. In 2022 our activity will not be limited to a national calendar, but we will also face some trips abroad ».

Also with regard to the next season, the organization of a Coppa Italia event in the province should also be confirmed: the venue, as already this year, should be Castion.

These are the five Line R athletes winners of the Inline Alpine slalom Italian Cup 2021: Michelle Dal Farra (Under 9 category); Andrea Burlon (Under 9); Andrea Bridda (Beginners); Eleonora Meneghel (Girls); Riccardo Giacomel (Seniores).

Inline alpine slalom is a discipline that follows the types of alpine skiing, but on asphalted slopes and with inline skates. The race track can have a gradient that can vary from 6 to 15 percent and a length from 150 to 300 meters. Along the route, articulated poles are placed on plates of about 15 kilos. The task of determining the position of the poles rests with the setter who develops the race course. The distances between the posts and angles may vary according to the type of slope and the technical choices of the tracker. The inline alpine slalom is divided into three specialties: special slalom, giant slalom and parallel slalom.
