Previously, the CBA company initially set the new season to start on October 16, but important matters such as whether it is a game system or a home and away system, and whether foreign aid is allowed, have not been determined before, and the teams are waiting for official news. In view of the undecided league policy, some teams have also made two-handed preparations. Teams such as the Shanghai team and the Beijing team have reached a signing agreement with foreign players. At the same time, some foreign players such as Franklin and Jeremy Lin have already come to China.
According to CBA’s latest plan, 38 rounds of the regular season and the playoffs are expected to increase the number of rounds, which also means that the new season will be quite different from the previous season. In addition, the CBA season will set two window periods for the national team, the first window period is 40 days, the second window period is 50 days, and the two window periods total 90 days. In other words, the league will be suspended in the middle of the new season. In the three-month competition, the regular season will also be divided into 13 rounds, 15 rounds and 10 rounds. The playoffs are also expected to increase the number of games. Last season, the playoffs were single eliminations in 12 and 8 in the playoffs.
