This Sunday, September 26, the 5 lakes running race returns. It is the 44th edition of the event, organized by Podistica Dora Baltea and by the Avis Association of Ivrea.

From 7 am the delivery of race packages, at 8.30 the departure from Piazza del Mercato, with the runners who, after having covered the first three km on the city stretch, will start the remaining 21.3 km between dirt roads and woods around the five lakes: San Michele, Sirio, Pistono, Nero and di Campagna, with consequent transit in the Municipalities of Ivrea (departure and arrival), Montalto Dora, Chiaverano, Borgofranco d’Ivrea and Cascinette d’Ivrea. At 11.30 the awards ceremony, in which two memorials will also be assigned: Giuseppe Giorgio and Fiorella Salussolia. We have chosen to start from Piazza del Mercato which is a larger area than Corso D’Azeglio and the possibility of gatherings is reduced.

The city traffic has also been changed: from 8 to 9 there will be a ban on parking in via Palestro, Arduino and Guarnotta. In addition, the circulation of vehicles will be suspended at each passage of runners in: market square, via Circonvallazione, piazza Balla (intersection with Porta Vercelli), via Palestro, via Arduino, via Guarnotta, corso Garibaldi, via Gozzano, via Pellizzari, via dei Mulini, via Grande Torino, via dei Cappuccini, via Cascinette, via Lago San Michele, via Lago Sirio, via della Turca, via San Pietro Martire and via Monte Stella.
