Jean-Charles Valladont wins the silver medal in Antalya in the World Cup

Jean-Charles Valladont brought a second medal to the French team at the first stage of the World Cup disputed in Antalya, Turkey, after the bronze for the women’s team. The 2016 Olympic vice-champion won individual silver on Sunday.

Valladont first won against Kazakh Ilfat Abdullin in the semi-finals (6-4), before losing in the final against Moldovan Dan Olaru by the same score (in detail: 26-30, 29- 28, 27-29, 29-29, 28-28). This is the first medal for the Blues since 2018.

The next World Cup stop will take place in Shanghai, China, from May 16-21.
