Recently, the Zhejiang Provincial Athletics Association announced the list of technical officials of the Hangzhou Asian Games track and field events. Wang Huan of Jiashan County was on the list, and he is the only referee in Jiashan County who will officiate at the Asian Games.

Wang Huan is 36 years old this year and graduated from Xi’an Institute of Physical Education. During his college years, he obtained a number of referee certificates such as the national first-level referee for track and field and the national first-level referee for volleyball. In 2013, he was also successfully admitted to the national track and field referee.

In the first track and field invitational match after the completion of the Hangzhou Asian Games home “Big Lotus” last year, referees from all over the province were mobilized to officiate, including English training and on-site refereeing. Wang Huan passed the tests of the referee selection.

Wang Huan has very rich refereeing experience. He has participated in the refereeing work of high-level sports events such as the 2011 National Disabled Games, the 2012 Asian Indoor Athletics Championships, and the 2018 National Athletics Grand Prix.

The Hangzhou Asian Games will be officially held from September 16 to 22 this year. Recently, Wang Huan is actively making various preparations in his spare time. “I hope that the Asian Games can be a complete success, and that our Chinese athletes can achieve good results. Of course, I also hope that all our track and field referees will be able to referee smoothly in this Asian Games.” Wang Huan hoped.
