The two Manchester clubs remain in the background. The bianconeri would like to define the future of the Dutchman as soon as possible, so as not to risk another Ronaldo case
The auction for De Ligt is open. There is also Bayern on the player, with a first offer not adequate to the request of Juve but almost equal to that of Chelsea, which in the meantime is preparing the raise. The Blues have put on the table 70 million plus 10 bonuses: still few for the bianconeri, who had already rejected a less profitable offer in economic terms for the inclusion of a technical counterpart and try to hold up the wall on the 120 million clause . The Germans offer a little less in the fixed part, but would be ready to recognize more substantial bonuses, to the point of being able to duel on an equal footing with the Londoners.
It is clear that Juve wants to monetize as much as possible from the sale of the defender, so as to be able to finance other incoming transactions: from the defender (Koulibaly the favorite in Italy, Gabriel abroad, without excluding Badiashile and Akanji) to Zaniolo (of which he already has satisfaction) and maybe even an outsider. The Dutchman, theoretically expected in Turin from next 10 July like all the other teammates to resume activities, may not even return to Continassa: the goal of the entourage – and perhaps also of Juve itself, which wants to avoid reliving a situation similar to that of Cristiano Ronaldo last summer – is to define his future as soon as possible. Manchester City remain in the background, which would have shown its interest but not yet formalized an offer, and United, which, however, warms the player much less being out of the Champions League. The hypothesis of the renewal (with a reduction of the clause) is still valid but now the least probable: Juve is ready to give up, but not willing to make discounts. Bayern’s latest action puts pressure on Chelsea and makes the bianconeri smile: the auction for De Ligt is open.
