The DFB Cup is the second most important competition in German football after the Bundesliga. Teams from lower leagues are also allowed to play in the DFB Cup. In the quarter-finals, Kaiserslautern won against Hertha BSC from the city of Berlin. And Düsseldorf won against FC Sankt Pauli from the city of Hamburg.

There was also a game in the quarter-finals between 2 Bundesliga teams: Bayer Leverkusen won against VfB Stuttgart.

In the last game of the quarter-finals, the third division team 1. FC Saarbrücken was supposed to play against the first division team Borussia Mönchengladbach. But the game has been canceled. The reason: It rained a lot and the place was too wet.

It is not yet clear who will play against whom in the semi-finals. The two games will be drawn soon.
