Rome, 24 September 2021 – The drama of Linda Evangelista becomes one millionaire cause with the super model asking 50 million dollars for compensation. The Canadian supermodel born in 1965 has filed a lawsuit in federal court in New York against the company responsible for the cosmetic treatment to which she underwent 5 years ago that “disfigured” it.

The drama of super model Linda Evangelista: “I am permanently deformed”

In a post on Instagram, the supermodel who in the nineties with Naomi Campbell and Kate Moss dominated the global catwalks, said that after receiving “CoolSculpting” treatment (cryolipolysis) which causes non-invasive reduction of body fat through localized skin cooling, developed a rare side effect which caused a radical metamorphosis of its appearance to the point of making it unrecognizable.

The supermodel asks for compensation for the “emotional distress” and for “economic losses” suffered, according to the complaint filed Tuesday in New York and which the media became aware of during the week. According to the document, the treatment made her “unemployed and unable to earn as a model”. The Evangelista claims she did not receive no compensation from the accident, except for the payment for a campaign before the beauty treatment, as she had to give up her commitments that required her to appear in public.
