Lost opportunity, Da Rold Belluno beaten to the fifth

Poletto’s boys go 2-1 in Bologna, waste a lot in the fourth set and fall at the tie break

Da Rold Logistics is defeated in the fifth set by Geetit Bologna on the third day of the men’s A3 series championship. Coach Diego Poletto’s boys arrive one step away from their first seasonal success but, at the tie-break, they surrender to the same team that, four months ago, at De Mas, had taken off the ticket for promotion by winning the playoff final of series B.

At PalaSavena, the people of Belluno start strong and win the first set 25-23. Then they undergo the Bolognese reaction (25-17) but in the third they find themselves (25-17). In the fourth Candeago and his companions seem to be able to close the accounts but, in the final, they are overwhelmed 25-22. Finally, at the tie-break, from +3 (8-5) the Da Rold is down by three (11-8). And the three lengths of advantage of the Bolognese lasted until the final 15-12. The Bellunesi are unlocked from zero points, but return home with much regret.
