Bamako, May 24, 2021 – Mali without peace and political stability: the military has scored a new coup. The leaders of the army, unhappy with the new government announced by the transitional authorities, forcibly removed the presidente Bah Ndaw and the Prime Minister Moctar Ouane taking them to the military camp of Kati, a few miles from Bamako. “The president and prime minister are here in Kati on business affecting them,” said a senior military official.
The elected president was also brought to Kati, the center of Mali’s military apparatus Ibrahim Boubacar Keita, taken by force on August 18, 2020 by the coup colonels to announce his resignation. The same colonels struck again.
