A companion both in life and in sport, who has been following Mara daily for years to be able to always get her to the top, from a physical point of view, to important events. Andrea yesterday took off the shoes of the trainer and followed the race as a husband. He cheered, cheered as a great fan and literally jumped for joy when Mara won.
Mara Navarria, warmly, also wanted to thank all the people who have been close to her on this long journey and who have contributed to the success.

Then, in the late Italian afternoon, the photo arrives from her room with the flag of Friuli, the medal hanging from her neck, a book on Tina Modotti (“Me, Tina Modotti. Happy because she is free”, by Gerard Roero di Cortanze) given to her by dad Diego before departure.
«I am happy to return to Friuli and to bring my Olympic medal won with the team to Carlino – she tells us -. I am proud to have been born there and to have brought my region up high. You know how tied I am to Friuli Venezia Giulia ». Mara will land in Ronchi dei Legionari tomorrow, shortly after lunchtime.
