Important trip for the 25 young Ivrea Canoa Club who took part in the two days of canoe slalom, Saturday 12 and Sunday 13, in Valstagna, in the province of Vicenza, on the occasion of the tests valid for the European Canoe Association Cup, a circuit of international competitions dedicated to youth, up to the Under 23s.

On Saturday Simone Marchegiano in the C1 Under 16, Lucia Pistoni in the K1 Under 18, Davide Ghisetti in the K1 Under 23 and Carolina Massarenti in the C1 Under 23 won the top step of the podium. For many Ivreanians the second day, Sunday 13, characterized by good descents unfortunately spoiled by an excessive number of penalties. On the podium Lucia Pistoni K1 Under 18, Davide Ghisetti K1 Under 23 and Carolina Massarenti in C1 Under 23. Erica Piatti won the test in the K1 Under 23 women, while to report the excellent second place conquered by Matteo Pistoni in K1 Under 18.

The trip was also an opportunity to verify the in-depth technical work under the careful guidance of social technicians Lorenzo Biasioli, Francesco Cavo and Davide Monguzzi. At the end of the event, the Ivrea Canoa Club athlete Lucia Pistoni and Davide Monguzzi, as coach, joined the women’s national team for a period of technical meeting in Prague. The Italian Canoe Kayak Federation has in fact begun a work of growth in the women’s sector in view of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
