The sentence of the Federal Prosecutor speaks of harmful words of the former player of Belluno (now at Treviso) towards his former coach defined as a “little man”
Could an interview lead to a disqualification? Well yes. And the case in question concerns one of the best-known players from Belluno, namely the midfielder Yari Masoch, and the coach Renato Lauria. The great excluded from the Dolomiti Bellunesi project, after a life spent with the Belluno shirt, was disqualified for 15 days. This was due to the “little man” with whom he had defined the technician in the interview given to our newspaper on June 30th.
On the occasion, Masoch was contesting the way in which the coach had dumped him, not involving him (unlike almost all the former Belluno teammates) in the new football reality. “I was definitely embittered, especially with the coach Lauria who proved to be a small man in his manner and timing,” explained Masoch. “The decision not to confirm I was told it was his, but he didn’t even call me to communicate it to me and maybe to discuss it with me: he made others do it. His choice, like it or not, of course I have to accept, but I was hoping I had earned a different respect after all these years. Evidently it wasn’t like that “.
Lauria himself filed a complaint with the Federal Prosecutor and the FIGC agreed with Masoch to establish the duration of the disqualification in 15 days. The player this year, we remember, is at Treviso in Excellence.
