Massidda leads the Sardinian patrol to the absolute tricolor of weightlifting

SASSARI. After the rain of medals at the Tokyo Games, weightlifting is back in the limelight. From today until Sunday, a great show on the platforms of San Marino with the absolute Italian championships.

Among the protagonists stands out the multiple champion Sergio Massida (Army) in the 61 kg category, competing today. Nuorese Weightlifting presents the youth coach Filippo Soma as an athlete in the category up to 89 kg, and the Italian specialty champion Marco Bitti who will be engaged in the category up to 102 kg to try to confirm himself. Other Sardinians on the platform: Andrea Corbu (61 kg, Army), Manuel Mannironi (67 kg, Universit), Vittorio Cabras (109 kg, Olimpica Sennorese), Nicole Mannironi (45 kg, Fiamme Oro), Giulia Corbu (55 kg, Army ) and Elisa Sundas (76 kg category, Trexenta Project). Davide Ruiu from Sassari, protagonist of an excellent test in Tokyo, first of the Europeans in his category, gave up.

All eyes are on Sergio Massidda, 19, from Ghilarza. Massidda is the reigning Youth and Junior World Champion, in the 55 kg category. In September he became European junior champion in the 61 kg category.
