Again in D. Matteo Olivotto scores the decisive goal in the playoff final to extend the match to extra time, where his Cascina then rises to the highest amateur category. Therefore, the sporting year of the player born in 2001, who arrived in the summer from Belluno in the summer thanks to the reasons linked to the study, ends in the best way.

He had in fact decided to move to Pisa to attend the Faculty of Motor Sciences and at the same time he was very keen to continue to attend the football fields. On the other hand, in the two previous tournaments he distinguished himself wearing the Belluno shirt, after making his debut under the guidance of Vecchiato. The Cascina di Excellence offered him the opportunity to combine passion and study and it went very well.

“We won the final 3-2 on a neutral field against Frates Perignano”, the boy from Belluno still excitedly tells us. “At 95 ‘we were in disadvantage of a goal and I managed to score the equal goal. At that point, however, it was not enough, as in extra time we had to impose ourselves otherwise our opponents, better placed in the standings, would have risen. Luckily we made it ».

A particular year goes by for university students, between online lessons and other problems.

«I decided to study in Pisa on the advice of my sister. Once the championship was suspended at the end of October I returned to Belluno, why not I wanted to be alone for who knows how many weeks away from home and without the possibility of going out. I returned to Tuscany in March, when we realized that the recovery of Excellence was close and therefore training had to be restarted ».

It would be really nice to continue the path in D with the Cascina, a club based about twenty minutes by road from Pisa.

“I found myself great,” explains Olivotto. «I played all the games, being used first as a left-handed winger in the 3-5-2 and then as a midfielder in the 4-3-1-2. The teammates welcomed me in the best way and now we see the future. At the moment I want to unplug a bit here in Belluno, then we’ll see. I think the commitment can be reconciled with the university, but the time will come to talk about it in due course ».
