Denis Mezzacasa and Fabrizio Vettorel closed their season on a high note with an excellent performance at the 48th Cronoscalata della Castellana, along the 6190 meters of the track just outside Orvieto, in the locality of San Giorgio a Colonnetta di Prodo.

The race, organized by Asd La Castellana, was valid as the national final of the Italian Mountain Speed ​​Trophy (Tivm).

The two drivers from Belluno also contend for the various titles.

After the great performance of Cividale, Agordino Denis Mezzacasa, aboard his Formula Renault Tatuus E2ss 2000, ended 2021 winning an excellent first place in his class and third place in the final group Tivm E2SS, closing with a positive ninth place overall in the final ranking of the Tivm.

Excellent performance also for the Feltre Fabrizio Vettorel and his Peugeot 106 N1600, who went down to Orvieto as a group finalist. Objective hit in full, with the victory in class N1600 and the second in group N among the finalists.

«I’m happy and the result was what I set myself», said Vettorel, «in front of much better performing cars. Constancy and experience helped me in this excellent result. Now the season is over and we are already starting to think about 2022 ».

The race was won by Simone Faggioli, making his debut on the Nova Proto 4x 4 (“transparent” for the purposes of the Tivm classification) with an advantage of 1 ”86 over Di Fulvio, second overall, while Diego Degasperi went up on the third step. The Trentino, competing with the Osella Fa30 Zytek, won the Tivm championship thanks to his third place overall.
