Michel Munier, the fireman hospitalized at Parini since Wednesday after falling while skiing in Pila, is dead

Michel Munier, the 44-year-old firefighter hospitalized in Aosta hospital since Wednesday after an accident on the slopes of Pila, did not make it. Munier, a native of Etroubles, was pronounced dead in the afternoon.

On Wednesday, while skiing with some family members, he was the victim of a fall: an autonomous accident, with no other skiers involved. When he fell he had hit his head and his conditions had already appeared serious to the first rescuers, who then ordered the transfer to Aosta with the helicopter rescue. The operation he had undergone after hospitalization was also useless.

Passionate about popular sports – he won a Serie A championship – he leaves his wife and two young children.
