Mick Jagger has Covid: the Rolling Stones concert at San Siro on June 21st at risk

The Rolling Stones fans tremble who bought the ticket for the San Siro concert in Milanscheduled for Tuesday 21 June 2022. Singer Mick Jagger has in fact contracted the Covid and for this reason the band had to cancel the planned concert for tonight at the Johan Crujiff Arena in Amsterdam. A freezing shower for the Dutch crowd as Jagger, 79, started experiencing symptoms after arriving at the stadium and then tested positive.

“We are deeply sorry but the safety of the public, other musicians and tour staff have priority,” the Rolling Stones explained in a statement. The concert will be rescheduled and tickets will remain valid for the new date. At this point it would seem obvious that the Bern date scheduled for Friday 17th will also be canceled and postponed, while for the only Italian stage, that of Milan on 21st June, there is still hope. Everything will depend on how long it will take to negativize and get back in shape the ledaer of the Stones, to whom the best wishes for a speedy recovery go.

It turns

The SIXTY tour, the Stones’ first tour to celebrate 60 years of activity, following the restrictions of the pandemic and the death last year of their historic drummer, Charlie Watts, includes 14 concerts in 10 different countries. The first British stop, after Madrid and Monaco, has already been the past week at the Anfield stadium in Liverpool, the birthplace of the Beatles, their great rivals in the roaring years of rock, where the formation now composed – together with Jagger, Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood – also by the African American drummer Steve Jordan in replacement of Watts paid homage to the Fab Four by interpreting a song. And it will be followed in the height of summer by two concert-events inserted in the spectacular setting of the BTS festival in Hyde Park, London.
