Milan, 27 October 2021 – Il Milan blind Simon kjaer. The day after the tooth and nail success at Torino’s expense, the via Aldo Rossi club scored an important confirmation, renewing the Danish central defender’s contract – a real immovable pillar of the Rossoneri defense – until 2024. This concludes the issue linked to the renewal of Kjaer’s contract which, like those of Romagnoli and Kessié (who instead seem further away from their stay at Milanello), expired at the end of June: “AC Milan is pleased to announce the renewal of the contract by Simon Thorup Kjær until 30 June 2024. Simon, exemplary professional on and off the pitch, captain of Denmark and included in the list of 30 candidates for the 2021 Ballon d’Or, joined the Rossoneri in January 2020, making his debut in the Coppa Italia challenge against SPAL. After 66 appearances and 1 goal, scored at Old Trafford against Manchester United, Kjær and Milan will continue their journey together ”.
Player satisfaction
Simon Kjaer then expressed all his satisfaction for his stay in the Rossoneri through a brief statement released to the official Milan channels: “I am very proud to stay at Milan until 2024. My dream is to win something before I leave. I promise that we will give our best, both me and the rest of the team: we will do everything we can. Go Milan!”.
