Organized by the Italian Attacks Group, the international competition of “Traditional Attacks”, held on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 June, returned to the splendid setting of the Reggia di Venaria. Thirty-five crews entered from Belgium, France, Germany, Spain, Switzerland and of course Italy. An event attracts, for the beauty and elegance of the bindings, all enthusiasts as well as lovers of equestrian art.

There were two intense days in which it was possible to admire vintage carriages as well as splendid horses in attacks, singles, pairs, tandems and shot at 4 and shot at 3.

On Saturday morning, in the High Gardens of the Reggia, presentation test with careful evaluation by the International Jury made up of judges from Belgium, Holland and Switzerland. Evaluated each attack, examining the carriage, the harnesses, the horses, the clothing and the harmony of the whole. Sunday morning was dedicated to the countryside route starting from the Gardens of the Reggia for a journey of about 2 km that led the crews to the entrance of the La Mandria natural park where controlled passages were foreseen.

In the early afternoon the handling test in the Grand parterre with carriages and horses engaged in the skill and precision of the drivers on a well-defined course. Event that ended with the traditional award ceremony.

At the start also many Canavese people who have performed well: Valeria Nicolotti di Pavone Canavese climbed on the podium winning the third place in the Single horse category with Spider Phaithon Mulbacher Paris 1870 carriage, Friesian horse, Moirano Italy harness, crew with groom Francesco Monteleone and passenger Francesco Manzone; for the single horse category fifth place for Davide Polidoro of Ivrea; Chiara Moirano di Strambino for the single horse category is in eighth place; Enrico Cerutti di Rivarolo, Single Horse Category is eleventh; Andrea Leonarduzzi of San Martino Canavese is fifth in the Pariglia horses category, same category twelfth place for Mario Mautino of Rivarolo Canavese. –
