On Sunday 2 May a mountain bike race takes place in Torre Canavese which is valid as a “Torre race” which will also be the first edition of the memorial Marco and Fiorella Datrino, illustrious Torresi who recently died due to Covid. A large number of participants, 480, with 65 teams coming from Piedmont, Liguria, Lombardy and Trentino and which will give life to a competition that will take place in the hills and streets of the town. The race course has been completely traced; the length is 4.7 km for the long route and about 3.5 km for the beginners and students categories.

The race is valid as TOP Class (score for the Italian Championships) for beginners and students, while for all categories as the second round of the Piemonte Cup. The starts will have the following program: the first is for 9.30: elite master, M1, M2, M3 and M4 over four laps, while for the M5, M6, M7 and M8 over three laps; master women 1 and 2 on two laps. In total there will be 115 athletes at the start. The second departure at 11.15 am; in the race there will be the men’s open over five laps, the women’s open over four laps, the men’s juniors over four laps and the women’s juniors over three laps; 105 competitors at the start, and in this start the first memorandum is up for grabs Marco and Fiorella Datrino.

The third start at 13 with the male rookies both first and second year with 3 laps to go and the female rookies both first and second year with 2 laps to complete, with 145 athletes registered. The fourth and final departure is set at 2 pm: with the male students with four laps to complete and with the female students with three laps to complete there are a total of 120 athletes. –
