Over 400 students competing in the “Dante Merlo” trophy

Over 400 students of primary classes IV and V of the schools including Anna Botto, Vittorio Veneto, Valletta Fogliano, Viale Libertà, Don Comelli and San Giuseppe di Vigevano participated in the “Dante Merlo” trophy, a classic spring athletics event on a track in memory by Dante Merlo, on the initiative of Atletica Vigevano, Municipality, Pool Vigevano Sport and the city schools. In the 8×50 meter relay (reserved for fourth grades), the triumph of the comprehensive Botto institute in both men and women, while the Vittorio Veneto defeated the competition in the one reserved for elementary fifths.

In the overall challenge between institutes, Vittorio Veneto prevailed with 289 points (Don Milani, Reg. Margherita and Marazzani); according to Anna Botto 287 (Ramella); third Valletta Fogliano 247 (Ricci, Ada Negri, Vidari); fourth Viale Libertà 158 (De Amicis and Anna Botto; Don Comelli 82; fifth San Giuseppe 48.

Here are the results of the individual races: Fourth class: 50 women first Eleonora Marchielli (Marazzani) 9 ”57; men Giacomo Villani (Vidari) 7 ”95.
