The azzurrostellata regular season is now a thing of the past, in fact the more immediate future confronts Bisceglie in a double confrontation that is worth a season. In the event of a positive outcome in the battle of salvation – scheduled for two races scheduled for May 15 in Bisceglie and on 22 in Pagani – a great brake would be put on all the mistakes of this championship, on the contrary a defeat would emphasize even more the things that do not they went the right way. In reality it was a fairly anomalous regular season for Paganese, indeed “full of ups and downs”, certainly the best description of performance.
The azzurrostellati had started the championship with a near victory at the “Massimino”, only to be resumed two minutes from the 90 ‘, which however gave everyone hope. After that the first defeats with two other battleships such as Ternana and Catanzaro, but to have addressed in the wrong direction this season were certainly the draw at home with Cavese and the defeat in Vibo Valentia (5 to 2) against Vibonese.
From there it was understood that the summer premises of a step forward compared to last season would hardly have become reality, even if there was time to fix things. The 3 to 0 inflicted on the leaders Turris and the narrow victory over Viterbese, interspersed only by the scorching home defeat with Teramo in the end, had made us think of the relaunch of the then formation of Mr. Erra.
After a month of November spent in the name of the draw (three out of four races) the disastrous December and January arrived in which the Paganese did not collect even a point. In the meantime, the heavy defeats with Monopoli and Foggia had already sanctioned the farewell of Mr. Erra between Christmas and New Year, only to be announced only in mid-January. After that he arrived as Di Napoli’s coach who began to bear fruit already in the first two defeats with Casertana and Ternana. Azzurrostellato’s relaunch took place in February, a veritable magic moment for Paganese in this regular season. From last in the standings in the space of a month we had almost found ourselves outside the red zone, but at the very best the magic ends and Paganese is forced to fight for the third to last place. On the last day, not without effort, the minimum objective was achieved: now with two tests as a real team, this unfortunate and difficult season could be put behind us for good.
