Pavia, it’s time for announcements for the new season

President Nucera wants a manager of the technical area and is looking for a coach, if Fiorito does not stay

Many rumors and great anticipation for the return of president Giuseppe Nucera to Pavia to formalize the first decisions for the 2022-23 sports season. After the victory in the second leg with the Base 96 Seveso of about ten days ago at Fortunati, and the salvation celebrated, Nucera had made an appointment shortly to choose the first protagonists of Pavia. It is no mystery that so many names have been made starting from the choice of a sports director. Person in charge of the technical area who can follow the first blue team on a purely sporting and organizational side every day as a referent for both the president and general manager Antonio Dieni. For the role of sporting director, there was talk of Dario Acquali from Pavia (a hypothesis that later disappeared), of the former sporting director now of Derthona, who left after five seasons, Luca Sacco and also of a different role from the one played so far as coach of Maurizio Tassi.

The coach originally from Pieve Porto Morone had been approached during the season to the blue bench of the future, now this too remains a doubt: whether Tassi will reach an agreement as he said with Pavia or will he prefer to continue to coach and if he will therefore be the chosen one for the bench in via Alzaia. After the season finale, rumors of a confirmation by Giuseppe Fiorito for a stay at the helm of Pavia were on the rise. The only certainty is that everything has been postponed for a few days: from the beginning of this week when there was talk of a return from abroad of the blue patron at the weekend for his return to Pavia (Friday or Saturday). A Nucera-Dieni comparison with the possible protagonists of the new blue season (diesse and mister in the first place) will immediately lead to discussions on the technical level of the squad (reconfirmed and new arrivals) to immediately build a Pavia that is not a construction site open like last summer.
