There are several American entrepreneurs trying to get hold of an NBA franchise. Among these there is also Phil Knight, founder of Nike: according to reports from the Wall Street Journal, Knight would have repeatedly attempted to buy the Portland Trail Blazers in recent months, even going so far as to forward a 2 billion dollar offer to Jody Allen, sister of the late Paul Allen and owner of the Blazers and Seattle Seahawks. To date, however, the property has been reluctant to open a deal.
