Ernesto Collazuol

The driver of the minibus of the grenade company died at the age of 78. He has led to many generations of footballers playing

He was the historic driver of Calcio Ponte nelle Alpi. How many generations of grenade footballers of all ages accompanied to training and matches, in the Belluno area and in the Veneto region.

Precisely for this reason the Pontalpine association mourns the death of 78-year-old Ernesto “Teto” Collazuol, who passed away in recent days.

“Another piece of history of the old Bridge in the Alps goes away. Ernesto, for all Teto, always a right word at the right time. A hug to the family from all of us », writes the company on its Facebook page.

Married to Nadia and Marianna’s father, Collazuol had worked at the Longaronese firm Faesite as a driver and vehicle operator.

A great football fan, he was a Juventus fan. Particularly remembered is his ability to always snatch a smile from those around him, even in perhaps the most difficult moments.

Numerous messages of condolence came from those who knew him. Among them, Roberto Padrin, president of the Province of Belluno and historic player of the bridge in the golden years. On his social media profiles, he has gladly published a photo that portrays him together with “Teto” at the Baracca stadium in Mestre.

«After the unforgettable Angelo Molin, another piece of Ponte nelle Alpi football history has gone: Ernesto“ Teto ”Collazuol. His smile, his passion for grenades, his commitment. It will remain forever in the hearts of those who wore this glorious jersey, and in me with that photo at the Baracca di Mestre in the last match before the merger with Belluno ».

Enrico Collarin, currently president of the granata company, describes Ernesto as «a reference figure for our reality. There is no player of the bridge who at least once has not been accompanied on Sunday or during the week by “Teto”, driving the minibus. He was very keen to respect the timetables and to behave appropriately in the minibus, so if you had to reprimand someone he did it. But he certainly loved all of us. In recent years he was no longer in the world of football, but he is a person to whom all of us were connected ».

As for the date of the funeral, it has yet to be determined.
