Pordenone celebrates with women: the Under 19 women are Italian champions

PORDENONE. At the end of the sporting year, Pordenone gave itself great joy. The Under 19 women’s team of the neroverde club is the Italian champion of the category.

Mr. Petrella’s girls won the title in Florence by beating Spezia 2-1. For the green lizard nursery it was the third championship in recent history: at the men’s level the tricolor was sewn to the chest in 2018 and the Under 17 teams in 2019.

In addition to the result, the positive aspect is another. In the projects of the club and of the president Lovisa, who founded three years ago with the “pink” section, the setting up of a first women’s team as early as next season.

The race

The goals from Del Frate and Perego scored within 4 ‘in the first half were decisive to win in Tuscany. After a balanced start, in the 31st minute Prekaj broke through on the left-handed front, serving in the center for Del Frate: the latter sent the ball into the corner with a precise conclusion.

A little later Del Frate herself turned into an assist-woman: hers was the perfect throw from the trocar for Perego’s lunge, who passed the goalkeeper with a lob.

In the second half Pordenone continued to attack to score the third goal, but Spezia returned to the game thanks to Sciaccaluga. The Ligurian’s goal was not enough: the match ended 2-1 and brought the championship to the banks of the Noncello.

The success crowned a great year, with the winning lizards of the Triveneto group with one day to spare (16 successes, 1 draw and 1 defeat).

In the quarter-finals the girls eliminated Bologna (double 3-1, in the first leg in Emilia goals by Sossai, Prekaj, Del Frate, in the return to Pordenone of Prekaj, Termentini, Del Frate) and finally in the semifinal 3-0 the Turin (dry challenge, in Piedmont) with goals from Rosolen, Termentini and Volpatti.

Joy

The compliments came immediately after the final whistle from Mauro Lovisa. They were also welcomed by the head of the nursery, the former player of the national team Elisa Camporese, head of the “pink” project from the beginning. “We couldn’t ask for more – she declared from Florence -. We have believed in this path from the beginning. We felt the closeness of the club at all times and the players and the coaching staff felt this. The quality of the training and the amalgamation that was created over the course of the year was decisive for the victory ».

The youth sector of the neroverdi counts the Under 10, 12, 15, 17 and 19 teams. The first team should soon be there, also to ensure a continuation in the same association as the Italian champions.
