by admin

The “Fante” in 2021 scored seven goals, provided six assists and there is his signature in ten of the last twelve goals of the neroverdi

PORDENONE. The definition of top player is often overused but, in the case of Patrick Ciurria, it fits perfectly. The Pordenone striker, born in 1995, is now part of this category, at least as regards the Serie B. He entered the elite supported by the figures, which testify to his absolute value and according to what he does for the team.

In the ranking linked to goals and assists, in fact, the neroverde occupies the fourth place thanks to nine goals and as many unmarked passes. In front of him there are only the great names of the cadet tournament, those defined as such on the eve of the season: Massimo Coda of Lecce (21 centers and 6 assists), Leonardo Mancuso dell’Empoli (19 + 3) and Gennaro Tutino della Salernitana (11 + 6).

Thanks to last Saturday’s feats with Pisa (goals and assists) Ciurria overtook none other than Marco Mancosu, Lecce captain capable of 14 goals and 2 winning passes in Serie A last season.

Despite playing 26 games instead of 31 of the “Fante”, the attacking midfielder of Salento is at 8 centers and 9 assists. Behind Ciurria there are excellent players such as Aramu of Venezia (9 + 6, on which Sampdoria has their eyes), Garritano of Chievo (7 + 8), Gucher of Pisa (6 + 7) and Bajrami dell’Empoli ( 6 + 8).

The number 13 of Pordenone broke into the top five of the championship thanks to an extraordinary 2021 so far. Until December 30th 2020, in fact, the day of his success on Reggiana, he was able to score 2 goals and serve 3 assists. In 2021 the turning point, thanks to 7 centers and 6 assists in 15 games played. Not only that: in ten of Pordenone’s last twelve goals there is his signature. From these are excluded only the two markings of Butic with Spal and with Entella.

The statistics that have been close to the player so far are truly remarkable, among other things the black-green most used during the season among the green lizards with 2688 ‘spent in the field (excluding Perisan). In the last few matches he has then shown that he knows how to carry the team on his shoulders, taking on additional responsibilities. It can be said that after a year and a half of apprenticeship, in which he had alternated good races with other less positive ones, he has perfectly immersed himself in the reality of the B series.

In addition to looking for the double digits in both statistics, in the next four games the “Fante” will want to prove once again that he is ready for higher stages. Brescia had already shown up last January to acquire him outright. He had offered 1.8 million plus Spalek to the lizards. To hire him, it is likely that you will need to further raise the offer: the feeling is that it will take at least 2.5 million.
