Pordenone turns the page: the Di Carlo era begins. So the team changes

PORDENONE. The most difficult, disappointing and bitter season in Pordenone’s recent history ended with the match in Lecce.

With 18 points the negative record was set in a group of 20 Serie B teams. We think about the next championship, the restart in Lega Pro, on which the first piece has already been placed. Now the Domenico Di Carlo era can begin.

Soon the former Vicenza coach officially announced as the successor of Bruno Tedino. He will sign a biennial. With him, the club will aim to return immediately to the cadets.

The technician

The coach was chosen for his resume as a winner in Serie C. He took part in this tournament twice, winning it in both circumstances: first in Mantua in 2005, then in Vicenza in 2020. He then convinced the management of football that proposes, very practical and direct to the result.

In this sense, the coach is very reminiscent of Attilio Tesser, of whom he is a friend and with whom he was confronted during the negotiations with the citizen association. The new leader of the lizards does not lack leadership and experience. He arrives in Pordenone with great credibility, having worked mainly in Serie A and B.

In order to maintain it, he will then have to obtain results, the only means to keep criticism away. The former Vicenza will find an environment tested by relegation and reached the end of the cycle. It can and must bring a wave of enthusiasm and optimism.

The moral aspect

This is with regard to the moral aspect. Then there is the technical aspect. Di Carlo uses the 4-3-1-2. He will work together with the club to identify the players currently in the squad from which to start again and, subsequently, those to be hired to achieve the required result. Ideas are not lacking.

If Perisan does not remain – as it seems – it will be necessary to find his replacement. Trust in Bassoli and Barison as central defenders. Burrai, illustrious ex, director of Perugia, will be the element on which the midfield will rotate. Alongside him there will be Zammarini.

In the offensive department they will count on Magnaghi, Candellone and two other strong forwards. The loan situations will then have to be defined: Camporese, Ciciretti, Kupisz, Misuraca. It is not excluded that the latter will remain.

As for the staff, Di Carlo will certainly be joined by his historical deputy Claudio Valigi. The athletic trainer Lorenzo Riela and the technical collaborator Elvis Abbruscato (the latter returning from his experience at the Reggiana Primavera) will arrive with them. To define the trainer of the goalkeepers and the possible inclusion of other figures in the working group.

There are many aspects to take care of. But we are only at the beginning of May and there is certainly no shortage of time.
