CASCINETTE D’IVREA

A sporting year to be framed, the one that has just ended, for the twelve-year-old water-skiing athlete Giada Presicci, resident in Cascinette d’Ivrea, who is attending the eighth grade at the Burolo school.

Giada, who loves animals, has a big dream in the drawer, moving to Florida to be able to make her two goals coincide: studying and her beloved sport of water skiing.

2021 was a year particularly rich in victories and satisfactions. At just twelve years of age, Giada participated in her first European championship, reserved for the Under 14 category, winning the team bronze medal. At the Italian championships he obtained his third consecutive category title, also beating the Italian Under 12 record, making a twelve rope buoy. He participated in a competition at Waterski Turin where he won four podiums: third in slalom, second in figures, in jumping and overall. The overall medal is the most coveted for those who, like Giada, engage in all three disciplines, slalom, figures and jumping.

His last seasonal race in Ravenna, the Kli Trophy, where in addition to the Italian athletes, agonists from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden competed in the List approved competition organized over three days. A fruitful trip for Giada Presicci, Under 12 category, who brings home the gold medal in slalom, figures, jumping and combined from the Kli Trophy. She was the most successful Italian of this classic end-of-season race which took on the characteristics of an Italy-Austria “contest”, due to the considerable number of foreign athletes coming from the country beyond the Alps, who took on challenges at the last buoy with Italian athletes. –
