CROTONE (ITALPRESS) – Crotone beat Hellas Verona 2-1 overtaking Parma and thus abandoning the last place in the standings. To decide the match the goals of Ounas and Messias – with Molina’s own goal to grant a joy to the guests – who give Cosmi 3 points, which are more important than anything else for morale. Not even the time to take the measures to the opponent that Hellas Verona goes under: Simy works a nice ball on the left, enters the area and serves Ounas who, while kicking in a dirty way, beats Pandur on the long post bringing Crotone forward. Cosmi’s team, despite the now certain relegation, proves to hold on to the match and even touches the doubling again with Ounas, but this time Pandur blocks the way by rejecting the conclusion. Hellas Verona does not seem to be in the game, but at the end they show up with Dawidowicz hitting the head on the development of a free kick: this time it is Cordaz who opposes with a great intervention. The second half opens with Juric shuffling the cards by removing Dawidowicz, Tameze and Ceccherini by inserting Faraoni, Salcedo and Dimarco. The move seems to bear the hoped-for results given that the last two pack the first scoring action of the second half with the winger to cross and the attacker to hit the head, but without finding the door. Juric also throws Colley and Lasagna into the fray – in place of Ruegg and Zaccagni – proving he wants to win, but exposing himself to the counterattack. Fatal move because for Ounas it is almost a wedding invitation that the winger exploits to perfection by serving Messias who, from the center of the area, doubles, leaving no chance for the opposing goalkeeper. In the final, Molina’s own goal seems to reopen the contest, but in the end the victory arrives that allows Crotone to overtake Parma, giving themselves the only possible goal, that is to avoid closing the season in last place in the standings.
