Putin and the mysterious disease: the clues that would confirm it – Foreign

Is Vladimir Putin sick? It is difficult to say with certainty, also because when it comes to the Russian leader there are very few certainties. The fact, however, is that in recent weeks the president of Russia has appeared, in those rare images that have been disseminated, almost more “plastered” and controlled than usual. Controlled as far as you can control. The feet, for example, are a part of the body that we rarely focus on. Maybe it is because they are at the less visible end and therefore out of sight. The fact is that in one of the latest videos released by the Russian government, the one in which he is talking with Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, President Putin appears with a strange movement of his right foot. And with an equally suspicious immobility of his right hand, with which he even grabs the table in front of him. Although his thumb is often affected by an unusual tremor. Still, with a glacial gaze and a monotonous tone of voice, Vladimir Putin has always appeared even in recent months, but this time it is his posture that makes him more suspicious: while Minister Shoigu is sitting on the tip of the armchair, in an evident attitude of respect and proximity to the president, Putin almost seems sausage with curved shoulders, almost swallowed by the chair itself. Almost as if he couldn’t move. So? Is Vladimir Putin sick? The rumors follow one another and these clues would suggest Parkinson’s disease. But these are only hypotheses. The truth, perhaps, will never be known. What is certain and incontrovertible, however, is that the Russian leader is experiencing a moment of difficulty also from a physical point of view. Whether this is due to the headaches for the unexpected prolongation of the war in Ukraine or from an illness remains a mystery for now.
