The 2022 World Cup will be held in Qatar from November 21 to December 18.
A total of 32 teams, including host Qatar, have qualified for the tournament, which will be the first time football’s biggest event will be held in the Middle East.
Former world champion Brazil qualified for the 21st time, the most of any team at the major tournament this year.
Meanwhile, Qatar, automatically qualified as host, will make its World Cup debut.
The 32 qualifying teams were divided into eight groups of four, with the top two teams from each group qualifying for the knockout rounds.
The first match will be played on November 21 and the final will be played at the Lusail Stadium on December 18 – Qatar National Day.
In the group stage, four matches are played each day to determine the top 16, with the knockout rounds consisting of the quarter-finals, quarter-finals, semi-finals and the World Cup final on December 18.
The games will be played in eight stadiums in Qatar.
The Khalifa Stadium, Qatar’s national stadium, is the only existing stadium selected to host the match.
The other seven stadiums were built specifically for games.
With the exception of Lusail Stadium, all other stadiums have been completed and have hosted competitive games.
With a capacity of 80,000 people, Lusail Stadium is the largest stadium.
