Quincitava, Volpiano and Ivrea three Canavese teams fighting for the first place

QUINCINETTO

At the first halfway point of the regional Under 19 Juniores championship in group B, three Canavese teams, in the order of classification Quincitava (31 points), Volpiano (30) and Ivrea (29) are playing for the possibility of reaching first place and then being able to play the regional title in the second phase of the season (this phase is accessed by the first classified of the five groups and the three best runners-up, which will then be divided into two groups of four, with the first of each mini group playing the title regional). Further back the Rivarolese who with 18 points occupies the seventh position in the middle of the standings, while fighting not to relegate in the next season to the provincial phase Banchette Ivrea (12 points), tenth in the standings and Vallorco (2), rear end, but with a game still to be played, against the Crescentinese from Vercelli, who will play weather conditions permitting on Saturday 8 January.

Satisfied with the season so far disputed by his boys, the Quincitava coach Gianluca Vallomy states: “Our goal was not to stay in the leading group but to obtain salvation as soon as possible (the last one relegates and the other four play the playout) and bring the highest possible number of players to the first team, a goal we are achieving. As for the second round, it will be more difficult than the first leg – comments Vallomy – and we will also have to consider the fact that the teams that play in Excellence will be able to bring down to the Under 19 players who in the meantime already have experience in a higher category than example of the Promotion or First category ». Even the Ivrea coach Luca Conta is satisfied with the path he has taken up to now: «Having so many 2004s (in this category they play the basic 2003) in the team, it was not easy to be among the first, I have to congratulate all the boys for the commitment shown. Now in these Christmas holidays we will train to better face the first match of the season, the leaders Alicese Orizzonti on Saturday 15 (the Federation initially scheduled the resumption of activity on Saturday 22 January, only to anticipate it by a week). We hope to win and to have some good news from the other fields, in that case we would be so first in the standings, even if what matters most is to enhance the squad available ». –
