UDINE. 371 people are controlled by 77 operators of the Railway Police Department for Friuli Venezia Giulia, as part of the third “Rail Safe Day” operation in 2021.
During the activities, 41 railway stations and other sites were checked throughout the region. In the Gorizia station some fines were raised to sanction two Italian citizens surprised to circulate in a restricted railway area, while a person who refused to decline his personal details was reported.
In Cervignano, Polfer agents surprised and sanctioned a man who, putting his own and others’ safety at risk, decided to cross the railway tracks on foot instead of using the appropriate passages.
The operation, arranged throughout the national territory by the Railway Police Service, made it possible to carry out extraordinary checks to prevent and hinder all those anomalous and improper behaviors, such as the undue presence of people on railway lines or near level crossings. , the overcoming of the “yellow line” in the stations, the careless crossing of the tracks, the realization of the “selfies” in line.
