SASSARO
In the first leg valid for Round 2 of the Ehf European Cup, Raimond Sassari is defeated 28-35 by Naerbo. The Norwegian team wins because they show more physicality and more desire to make the game their own. The over 2000 people present in the splendid sports hall of the hosts seem to shake the legs of Sassari.
The impact with the match is disastrous, Brzic and his teammates are unrecognizable, they take 10 minutes to score the first goal (Halinkovic), but in the meantime the opponents have already scored 6. This gap the Sardinian team will carry him on the back for the whole the game and will heavily affect the final score. Kokuca’s boys, after the shocking start, slowly manage to go several times to the conclusion with the axis formed by Brzic-Halilkovic, but unfortunately it is the defensive phase that continues to make water. 7-11 the partial after a quarter of the race, at that point the Norwegians try to give a further push, but this time Sassari holds up and manages to limit the passive by going to rest at 12-18.
The Sassari start the recovery better, trailed by 3 goals by Alan Pereira, by two penalties saved by Leban and by the usual game that sees Brizic free Halilkovic shooting. Ten minutes pass of the second half with the score 18-22. This difference in the result goes on for several minutes because Raimond finally plays on par with the opponents. Only in the final minutes did the rossoblù pay the effort of the comeback and a network by the Norwegians on the edge of the siren fixed the gap at -7.
Today at 17 the return match on the Naerbo field, to overturn the score the Raimond players will have to enter the field with the right mentality.
