TURIN. From clinical case to international case. After the injuries and the few minutes collected so far, Aaron Ramsey breaks the silence from the retirement of Wales and attacks Juventus for the management of his injuries. “The philosophy and training methods are different in my club – explains the Juventus midfielder -: here there are many people who have been managing me for several years, so they know how to get the best out of me and allow me to play many games in a row, like I demonstrated at the Europeans this year. I am able to do this and produce good performance. I feel good in Wales and I’m ready to go ».
Ramsey doesn’t hide his dissatisfaction and lets himself go. «The way things went in Juventus is frustrating and doesn’t help me – he adds -: I know what I can do and I know that with the right management I can stay in shape for a long period of time and play many games. I still feel good when I am given the opportunity and handled properly. It has been frustrating to have taken these nasty little injuries which have cost me many games and many important matches for Wales over the years. I’m just happy to be involved in the national team again, I just hope to contribute ».
Tomorrow evening Ramsey will be the captain of Wales who in Prague, against the Czech Republic, will play a fundamental challenge for the world qualifiers. This season with Juventus he has only played 106 minutes in 4 appearances: only in Udine, in the first league match on 22 August, did he play for 60 minutes. Then he collected pieces of the match in the final, the last on September 26 against Sampdoria. “Since my performances in the matches are quite high – he explains -, maybe I need a little more rest and recovery during the week”. Who knows if it will be enough even for a Juve who tried to sell him last summer and failed to place him for his mega salary and for his many injuries collected.
