Report: attempted extortion of 2 million, investigated head ultrà of Inter

A little over a year ago, in March 2021, the umpteenth arrest in Milan of Vittorio Boiocchi, the historic head of the Inter north curve, with a “high-profile criminal record” and a life in and out of prison, had left an aura of mystery. He had been caught with another convict, Paolo Cambedda, in a stolen car with a gun inside, a fake bib with the words Guardia di Finanza, a taser, a knife and two handcuffs. Pulling the strings of the investigation, the Mobile Squad arrived two days ago to arrest three people for an attempted extortion of over 2 million euros, including Ivan Turola, 42, a character “particularly involved in the political-business world” with a “range of action” extended “up to Palermo”. While Boiocchi, almost 70 years old, and Cambedda have already been sentenced to more than 3 years after that arrest in the act and are being investigated, together with 4 others, for attempted extortion, the investigation revealed the story of a “contract” in Sicily as origin of the intimidation against the Milanese entrepreneur Enzo Costa. Turola, who allegedly hired the head ultrà and his friend, but also “uncle” Gerardo Toto and Ezio Carnago (ended up in prison), claimed, according to the accusation, that money from Costa because in the past he would have made his Ferco win. srl, active in the cleaning services in hospitals, “four lots” for a value of 74 million euros of a tender launched by the Sicily Region. Turola ended up under house arrest (he negotiated 4 and a half years) for corruption in May 2020 in an investigation by the Palermo prosecutors, in which he was indicated as the “referent” of Ferco.

The “extortion claim”, according to the order of the investigating magistrate Ileana Ramundo, carried out by the group would take place “in three rounds”: three threatening visits, between March 3 (the day of the Boiocchi blitz interrupted by the police), April and June 2021, in Costa’s offices, which he reported on June 18. According to the records, she was aware of the “principal” and the “context”. They would have made him “catch a glimpse of the butt of a gun”, used tones such as “you have to do what we tell you, otherwise we will kill you”, as well as sending him messages like this: “be good, everyone is better off”. In the interceptions it was said that Boiocchi and Cambedda would have aimed to obtain “50 thousand euros each” for that “credit recovery”.
