The Basketball Federation has announced the provisional dates of the Serie C Gold 2021/22 championship. 14 teams registered: one South Tyrolean (Piani Bolzano), two Julian (Trieste and Jadran), one Friulian (Codroipo) and ten Venetian: Mirano, Bassano, Verona, Leoncino, Padua, Murano, San Donà and the three Treviso ones, read Montebelluna , Riese and Oderzo. Realities such as Pordenone and Corno di Rosazzo are missing, and after having played for years in the top tiers of the ranking, they had to give up their registration in the championship due to lack of budget. At the moment the start of the championship is scheduled for 3 October, the 13th day (last first leg) will be played on 9 January and the last return on 10 April at the same time on all fields. In addition to the Christmas break (from 19 December to 9 January), the weekend of 5-6 March will see the rest of the teams not involved in the Italian Cup. At the end of the regular season the teams ranked from first to eighth place will play the play-offs (quarterfinals, semifinals best of 3 games, final best of 5), eventual game 5 of the final is scheduled for 5 June . No direct relegation, but the only team forced to go down to C Silver will be decided at the play-outs where the last 4 ranked teams will access (semifinal and final best of 3 races).
Of the three Treviso women, Oderzo is the only one who last year decided to compete in the championship, managing to reach the final four promotion and being eliminated in the semifinals by Jesolo, then promoted. Riese and Montebelluna, on the other hand, start again after a year off. –
