A turn to forget, even and the causes of this far from enviable role are many: factors such as experience, concreteness in front of goal, all seasoned with a pinch of bad luck, have also affected a lot. But who can celebrate is Gianmarco Stefanetto, coach of the Rivarolese: «We have achieved a heart-stopping victory – says Stefanetto -. The aspect of the team that I liked the most was the reaction to the goal conceded, we wanted at all costs to win and with great garra, determination, we did it. It was very important to start immediately with the three points, even if we need to improve in terms of attention, because we were winning 1-0 until a few minutes from the end and when it seemed the race had reached the end credits, we had a distraction and collected an avoidable corner kick goal. These are mistakes that we will no longer have to make in the future, starting with Sunday’s match against Valdruento, our first home game, to continue with the away match in Turin against Turin and then all the other league games – says Stefanetto ».
If in the Rivarolese house one can smile for the first three points, the same cannot be said instead in the orange house, with the vice president ofIvrea, Mirko Maran who still throws water on the fire after the defeat of Guido Saba of Charvensod against Charva: «Certainly starting a championship and losing the first match never pleases anyone. In Charvensod the team played and created, however it failed to finalize – says Maran – Thanks to both their goalkeeper, a very good 2005, but also our demerit that we were unable to find the way to the goal. In addition, Charvensod’s goal was born from our carelessness, which he then won and is there, also because during the match he hit two woods. Let’s not make any dramas – Maran comments again – we must get up as soon as possible and on Sunday we will have the opportunity to do so immediately, even if the opponent will not be the best, because we will play the derby against Volpiano ».
After the bitter Sunday, in search of redemption, in addition to Ivrea, there will also be Banchette Ivrea and Quincitava, two teams whose squad is made up of many young people (especially that of the nerostellati, whose average is 21 years), to whom Unfortunately, the necessary experience is still unavoidably lacking in certain moments of the matches, perhaps in the most delicate moments, those in which the opponent, more experienced, takes advantage of it properly. Banchette Ivrea and Quincitava will therefore have to try to compensate for this by trying to field more competitive fury than the opponent, putting him in difficulty both in terms of intensity and on that of the dribble, thus using these weapons to make the ground a bit ‘more uphill to those who face them. –
